Bree + Jared // Stifel Theatre

Just weeks before Bree + Jared planned to say "I do" on April, 4, 2020 the world shut down and brought everything to a halt. Like many of our couples, they were plagued with making difficult decisions while considering so many unknown factors. And they were doing this amidst their busy schedules; Jared was finishing med school while Bree was entering her residency. Together with their families, we all determined shifting plans to 2021 was best and we were all ecstatic when we finally got to celebrate.

From our very first meeting, we knew we were going to love Bree + Jared. They were a perfect match who truly valued one another. They were playful and silly. They cared about the other's thoughts and opinions and wanted to be sure each of their wishes were represented in their wedding day. Working with couples like them, those who are equally invested in the planning process, is a dream come true. But as busy professionals with varying and often crazy schedules, adapting our normal planning process was a must. In the early stages, meetings were often a few hours to cover as much ground as possible. As Bree’s residency became more demanding, a majority of the communication was with Jared who would relay the info to Bree when they saw each other next, often feeling like ships passing in the night.

Months before their new date, our city had slowly begun to open but restrictions were still in place. As doctors themselves, they took precautions incredibly seriously. Not only did they want all their guests to be able to attend and have a great time, they wanted to ensure they were able to create a safe event. With the majority of their guests also in the medical field, by the time their day arrived, most attending were vaccinated and the others were required to provide a negative test result prior to attending. It’s safe to say, this past year has been one for the books.

The combination of their demanding work life and the year long break between the original and new wedding date, the couple admitted they almost forgot what we had planned for them. So seeing their faces take everything in when the big day finally came made all the stress and heartache of the past year slip away. Watching them celebrate fully and enjoy every moment along side their favorite people was a truly joyful experience. It was a long a crazy road leading up to their epic event, but looking through these gorgeous photos and seeing how much they truly love each other is the perfect ending.
