These two were a complete dream to work with. An absolute dream.

Mark is from St. Louis. Marie hails from Ohio. But they currently reside in Chicago. It was determined that St. Louis would be the perfect place to host their wedding festivities & the Sheldon Concert Hall was the celebration venue of choice.

Our first meeting included the bride, her sister & mother as well as the groom & his parents. I could immediately tell that this couple was surrounded by love & support and I could not wait to make their vision come true. Marie shared with me the vintage-style postcards she created as her Save-the-Date announcements, and I was able to use that as my inspiration in creating her vintage-inspired event. She shared that her bridesmaids would be wearing ivory & gold dresses - which happen to be my favorite colors - so I was delighted to put lots of gold touches into the decor.

The Sheldon Concert Hall played host to the ceremony & reception. The theater provided for a perfect setting for their intimate ceremony. Stacks of vintage luggage, wooden champagne crates and candles were arranged to create the gorgeous backdrop. Then, Maggie from Peacock Blooms used her amazing skills to add in beautiful flowers, as well as potted succulents that Marie's mom made, to complement the setting so well.

At the entrance to her ceremony, a display of vintage wedding photos from the bride & groom's families was created to set the tone for their big day. The personal touch was just perfect.

The ballroom welcomed the guests for the reception. The high ceilings, framed with dark wood beams & lit elegantly with white lights, made for a very formal yet inviting space. Each guest table was staged with different vintage treasures; no table was alike. Then, complementary floral arrangements were added to each setting to finish off the look. It was magical!
