We first met our sweet bride, Carly, at Wild Carrot in the Fall of 2018 while we were facilitating the setup of another amazing couple's wedding (shout out to Sarah + Torrey!). She had come by to show her parents the space she was considering for her big day and ended up loving some of the installations that were being put in place. We only spoke for a few minutes, but I knew instantly that she was a gem and was thrilled when she later reached out about working together.
As an artist herself, Carly was eager to dive into design plans for their wedding. She was a lover of details and wanted to incorporate a myriad of special touches to curate a unique and special celebration for their friends and loved ones. But as much fun as the creative process can be, the logistics of bringing it all together became a bit overwhelming. They asked to reconnect and decided to add on some additional support from us to review and streamline their plans. She and Zack had some amazing things planned and we were eager to enhance their vision.
Unfortunately, their wedding was scheduled for early 2020, and like so many couples that year, they were forced to put their plans on hold as we went into lockdown. We quickly sprung into action—rescheduling and replanning for later that year. However, August came and the restrictions in place prevented them from celebrating with everyone as they had hoped. They decided to continue with an intimate church wedding but paused the reception plans once again in hopes of being able to have a safe celebration the following Spring.
After nearly two years of planning, Carly + Zack were finally able to host their reception with their favorite people. They even added a vow renewal in Wild Carrot's courtyard, which we coined their mini-mony, so those who were unable to attend the church wedding could witness them express their love to one another. The weather gods were on their side as just days before it was pouring with rain, but the sun popped out that day to aid in their celebration. Carly, looking as stunning as ever, donned a new dress and walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with Zack as they both smiled with pure joy.
Their guests were treated to the most stunning reception with no detail overlooked. After the mini-mony, guests were greeted with signature cocktails featuring the most beautifully adorned, personalized cocktail stirrers you have ever seen. The tables were set with luxe velvet linens topped with marble chargers, acrylic menus, and the cutest boxed mini truffles. The event kicked off with a mouth-watering dinner featuring delicious wine pairings and continued into an epic dance party late into the evening.
After planning, replanning and then re-replanning once again, seeing Carly + Zack have the wedding and reception of their dreams was everything and more. The journey to the altar may have been a bit longer than planned and much more taxing than anyone expected, but these hiccups meant we were blessed with more time with this darling couple and their sweet, sweet families.
Carly + Zack, thank you so much for letting us be part of your celebrations and congratulations once again!
