Meeting these two was like a moment straight out of Stepbrothers. Literally, I wanted to look at them and say, "Did we just become best friends?" (In fact, I think we did that at one point.) From our very first meeting, I felt connected to Justin & Stephanie as if we had been friends since childhood. As if we shared years of memories and special moments.
Working with Stephanie + Justin was a blast & I was thrilled to produce their "mini-destination" wedding at Cedar Lake Cellars.. The couple fell in love with the venue after stumbling upon it during one of their back road drives from their home in Quincy, IL to Stephanie's family farm in Sullivan, MO. So many of the details - the old cars, the barn, the firetruck - provided a personal connection to the couple's families that it was as if it was meant to be. Using all of the rustic love that Cedar Lakes provides, we decided to glam up our plans a bit. Focusing on every detail - from a lighting installation to spray painted toy cars that acted as escort cards - every element of their day was carefully crafted to be a reflection of their love story.
