It was excitement from the start of our planning journey with Natalie + Aaron. As one of the first of their friend group to officially tie the knot, it was important to them to create a wedding to remember. One that was not only beautiful, but an epic party their friends and family would be talking about for years to come.
Design was important, as they wanted to create a space that "wowed" their guests from the start. *insert happy dance* But Natalie also preferred a more modern and minimal design. We were strategic with our choices ensuring that their day wouldn't look like a Pinterest explosion. Candles and lighting played a starring role at both their ceremony and reception spaces. As guests entered the Jefferson Room at Moulin, they were greeted with dim lighting accented by clusters of candles down the aisle and surrounding the altar. Simple greens climbing the brick walls were the perfect little extra touch. For their reception at the Palladium, hundreds of Edison bulbs dripped from the ceiling and collections of candles decorated the guest tables creating the perfect ambiance. Wooden infinity chairs & touches of greenery brought in some natural elements to the design while the white satin linens and black charger plates kept the clean and modern feel prominent.
But our favorite part to design? The pergola. To ensure Natalie + Aaron achieved the legendary dance party they hoped for, we focused much of the design on creating a a dance floor that was irresistible. Angled in the center of the room sat a crisp white dance floor featuring a large wooden pergola draped in lush greenery with Edison bulbs hanging so perfectly.
The final result? Stunning. At the start of our process, Natalie wasn't sure exactly what she wanted, but she knew what she didn't like. So seeing her face as she walked around the room during the reveal, taking it all in, was everything we wanted and more. “Oh my god. This is perfect.” And their guests felt the same. Jaws dropped. Fingers pointed to certain details. The wow factor was achieved without being over the top. And their big wish of having an epic dance party came to fruition as The Red Jackets kept the floor packed; everyone gathered under the pergola to dance the night away.
Natalie + Aaron - thank you for trusting our vision and letting us plan your wedding! Congrats again!️
